Student Senate has six At-Large Senators each year, and specific positions will be assigned to the newly elected senators by the Student Senate. The positions went to Maeko Jordan, Michael McClelland, Monica Osborn, Morgan Schmitt and Sebastien Meyers. A sixth At-Large Senator will be appointed at a later date.
“I am so excited to represent the student body and be able to relay their voices through my position,” Schmitt said.
Meyers is also looking forward to serving on Student Senate.
“I think that we can get some good stuff done and pretty quickly,” Meyers said.
Osborn will be serving her second year on Senate, but is excited to step into a new role.
“Within the past year, I’ve been able to see a lot of the great things that we’re doing, but also some areas we can work on,” Osborn said.
Betzy Sandavol will be serving her second term as the 2026-2027 Equity and Inclusion Senator, winning the race with 47% of the vote. The Equity and Inclusion Senator also serves as the co-president of UNITY Roundtable, a governing board of multicultural organizations.
