After discussions for nearly a year, the calendar for the 2012 – 2013 academic year has been approved. The calendar was approved during the Jan. 25 Faculty Senate meeting and includes the first Drake January-Term. The January-Term, also know as J-Term, will allow students the opportunity to take the equivalent of a semester of a class in a mere three weeks. A variety of classes will be offered as well as opportunities to study abroad. The January-Term TaskForce developed several ideas regarding the new addition to the calendar. The TaskForce compiled a report that includes specifics regarding J-Term which can be acquired by speaking with Interim Provost Sue Wright.
January Term Progress Report highlights
