The Drake University men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday.
The men finished 20th and the women finished 24th.
The invite featured nationally-ranked teams. The men’s race featured 24 teams, and the women’s featured 27.
Brigham Young University won the men’s competition, and the University of Arizona won the women’s.
Senior Ryan Flynn was the Bulldogs’ top finisher. He ran the eight-kilometer race in 25 minutes and 49.5 seconds for 108th place.
Sophomre Rob McCann finished right behind him in 25:50.2.
Redshirt sophomore Krista Maguire led the way for the women. She finished 173rd in 23:12.7 on the six-kilometer course.
Sophomre Taylor Scholl finished second for the Bulldogs. She ran the course in 23:19.25, good for 186th place.
