The Drake University men’s golf team competed at the Southern Illinois University — Edwardsville Derek Donenc Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Drake finished in seventh place with a score of 893 for the tournament, tied with Missouri State University.
Freshman Brady Richardson led the way for the Bulldogs, shooting a 221 over 54 holes. It was good for 15th place in his first Division I tournament. He shot a team-low 71 in his first round on Friday.
Junior Dane Worley tied for 19th. He shot a 223 on the weekend, including a 72 on Saturday.
Karter Smith, another freshman, rounded out the top three finishers for Drake. He tied for 29th place and shot a 226 over the two days.
Drake golf hits the course again on Monday and Tuesday, this time at the Ram Master Invitational in Fort Collins, Colo.
