Going into the final week of the regular season with the Missouri Valley Conference tournament less than 20 days away, the Drake women’s basketball team has righted the ship. The Bulldogs capped their regular-season home schedule with a 78-45 victory over the Bradley Braves to move into a tie for second place in the conference with Southern Illinois and Missouri State.
After struggling to get anything going offensively in the first half, the Drake women’s basketball team buried the Indiana State Sycamores in the final two quarters to with its fourth game in a row, 80-55.
Drake Women’s Basketball won both of their exhibition games, and the season begins Sunday when the Bulldogs host the Iowa State Cyclones at the Knapp Center. Drake was projected to finish second in the Missouri Valley Conference, so here are three things to watch for as the season gets underway.
