The two teams entered Sunday tied for first in The Valley. UNI (11-7, 6-1) now occupies the top spot alone while the Bulldogs (12-6, 5-2), who saw their five-game winning streak snapped, will have to wait until Feb. 19 for a rematch in Cedar Falls.
After struggling to get anything going offensively in the first half, the Drake women’s basketball team buried the Indiana State Sycamores in the final two quarters to with its fourth game in a row, 80-55.
The Bulldogs won their second and final exhibition game Sunday at the Knapp Center, drubbing Simpson, 94-61. Drake also beat Grand View on Tuesday, cruising past the Vikings, 96-46.
