Hey, Drake, I hope you enjoyed the Views of our campus at two in the morning. Although I’m sure it would’ve looked way better during the day with all of your fans walking around.
I was unashamedly a part of the giant mob that was sprinting around campus in search of the rapper yesterday afternoon. The excitement fizzled away after a few hours of realizing that Drake was, in fact, not going to show up.
I was not one of the dedicated who sat outside of Old Main for hours, but I was as disappointed as everyone else that Drake had decided not to show up after all.

Honestly, I wasn’t surprised. I was sure Drake had a million other things to do besides being chased around campus by students. Not to mention that said chasing would be a safety hazard for him.
Last night TL;DR: @DrakeUniversity brought DU swag to @Drake, before Drake was brought to Drake. Follow? #DrakeUniversity #BringDrakeToDrake

By the end of the day, Twitter was basically all tweets from Drake students (including me) saying how disappointed they were that the rapper didn’t show up, especially after he had commented on Drake University’s Instagram photo.
In the end, Drake finally did “pull up” on us. It just happened that he visited around two in the morning, when nearly everyone was sleeping. He even visited two sorority houses, one of which happened to be the one I’m in. It was exciting, however, I would’ve been more excited had he pulled up on us, say, during the day when I was awake.
I guess all those videos, tweets and edited pictures worked, just not exactly in the way we were hoping.
Although I’m happy that Drake stayed true to his word (which is more than some other celebrities have done, looking at you Skizzy Mars), there’s still a part of me that’s frustrated that he didn’t visit when it was actually light outside.
Next time you’re here Drake, and I’m sure there will be a next time, hopefully you decide to make an appearance when almost every student isn’t asleep.
If you ever feel tragic, remember that Drake Univ campaigned to #BringDraketoDrake, and he actually went to campus but they were all ASLEEP

And if you want to hit up 34th St. again, you are more than welcome. I know a lot of great girls at the Theta house who would love to give you a house tour.
At least now I can tell everyone I know that Drake finally came to Drake.
