Homecoming week is finally here and the Student Activities Board has planned many fun-filled activities for students.
On Monday at 8 p.m. in Sussman Theatre, laugh with Frangela, a comedy duo that has been in the movie “He’s Just Not That Into You”, “Hannah Montana” and on NBC’s “Today Show.”
“I think the activity that I am looking forward to the most is the comedian. I think it is really cool that we were able to get someone recognizable like Frangela to come here to Drake,” said sophomore Andrea Lupo.
If you are in the mood for something sweet on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 2-4 p.m., stop by the Olmsted Breezeway for Mid-Day Milkshakes.
Mid-day milkshakes are set for 2-4 p.m. in the Olmsted Breezeway on Tuesday.
Wednesday travel back in time to the 70s-themed carnival from 4-7 p.m. in Helmick Commons.
There will be food, games and a photo booth.
“I am looking forward to the carnival on Wednesday because I cannot wait to shove my face full of fried carnival food, “ said first-year Ann Samuelson. “It would be fantastic to play some games and take some awesome pictures in the photo booth with my friends.”
“I’m looking forward to the 70s carnival because I really like going to carnivals with my friends. Carnivals are just so much fun,” said first-year Alyson Krueger.
If you want to have even more fun with your friends, on Friday at 8 p.m. in Helmick Commons, Jetty Rae is opening for Andrew Allen.
He is the artist of the hit song, “Loving You Tonight”.
The song was featured in promos on movie screens across the country this spring.
The homecoming football game against Jacksonville is set for Saturday. Tailgating starts at 11 a.m and the kick-off is at 1 p.m.
