Drake drops five-setter to UNI, eliminated from playoff contention

UNI is currently ranked fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference and an upset could’ve kept Drake’s playoff hopes alive, but the loss ended them definitively. Drake will not be participating in the MVC Playoffs in 2015.

Recaps from the last week in Drake Athletics. Both Men’s and Women’s Basketball won their exhibition matches. Volleyball dropped back-to-back matches on the road. Rowing succeeded against Creighton on the Des Moines River.

Halloween brings trick and treat, Volleyball 1-1 at home this week

Inconsistent is probably the best word to describe Drake volleyball’s play this season. Some matches against top tier opponents go right down to the wire, while the Bulldogs still struggle to put away lower level teams.

Volleyball: Struggles on road as MVC season midterm passes

A road win against Bradley on Oct. 13 snapped a two match losing streak for the Bulldogs, but the good news ends there. Three road losses followed as Drake traveled to the University of Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois and Evansville.

Bulldogs struggle at home against strong opponents

Drake holds steady in final matches before conference season
