J-Term athletics: sports without school

Over the past month, Drake’s campus has been much emptier than the following week since the semester has gotten underway. Before the majority of Drake students returned from winter break, only a small portion of the student population was on campus during the first three weeks of January. Most of them were taking a J-Term course, although not all of them were focused on academics.

Drake’s tournament run ends with 5-1 loss at Creighton

After an impressive 4-game winning streak through the MVC Championship and Wednesday’s 2-1 upset at Kentucky, the Bulldogs were demolished by the no. 12 Creighton Blue Jays in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Sunday.

Bulldogs cruise over Crusaders to even record at .500

The Bulldogs (3-3) rushed for 205 yards and three touchdowns, John Hugunin made big plays on defense and Drake won 34-7 over the Valparaiso Crusaders Saturday to stay undefeated at Drake Stadium in 2015.
