Ben Roethlisberger vs. CLE
Roethlisberger and the Steelers are coming off of a bye this week. In week 6, Roethlisberger threw for 369 yard and 1 touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals. His career record against the Browns is the 3rd best winning percentage for any QB in the Super Bowl era with a record of 21-2-1. Cleveland’s defense has allowed more than 23 fantasy points to quarterbacks on the road, making Big Ben a strong start this week.
James White vs. BUF
In week 6, running back Sony Michel injured his knee. His status for week 7 against the Bills is doubtful meaning James White is next in line to start. With Michel out, White saw a career high in carries. He rushed for 11 yards on 40 yards with 8 receptions for 57 yards and two receiving touchdowns. He should have a feature-back role against the Buffalo Bills who rank 22nd against fantasy running backs.
Robert Woods vs. GB
In week 7, Woods caught 5 receptions for 78 yards and 0 touchdowns. This was the first game in four weeks that he hasn’t produced double-digit fantasy performances. This week Woods and the Rams face the Packers and their 20th ranked defense against fantasy wide receivers. With Kupp listed as doubtful, Woods will get the start on a very talented offense. This should be a very high-scoring game which gives Woods WR1 value this week. I would advise to start him in all of your leagues.
Derek Carr vs. IND
Carr and the Raiders are coming of a bye this week. In week 6, Carr threw for an uninspiring 142 yards with 0 touchdowns and 2 fumbles against the Seattle Seahawks. Carr has only scored more than 16 points once this season. The Raiders also traded away Carr’s top target Amari Cooper. The Colts defense has only allowed 16.6 fantasy points to quarterbacks through the first 7 games. It’s safe to sit Carr this week.
Isaiah Crowell vs. CHI
Crowell has been boom-or-bust throughout the season. In week seven he had 11 carries for 29 yards and 0 touchdowns. His 219 yard rushing day against the Broncos was an outlier. Crowell is touchdown dependent to have value and he’s going up against the fourth best defense against running backs this season, giving up just 3.4 yards per rush. He’s a risky flex this week.
Marquise Goodwin vs. ARI
In week 6, Goodwin had 4 receptions for 126 yards and two touchdowns. In week 7, he followed up that stellar performance with 2 receptions for 24 yards and 0 touchdowns. He’s too inconsistent to be a weekly starter in most leagues. This week he faces a tough Cardinals defense that ranks eighth against fantasy receivers and has held opposing quarterbacks to a passer rating of 72.0. C.J. The numbers up to this point prove that Beathard could really struggle this week limiting Goodwin’s upside. He will most likely line up out wide, and the Cardinals defense has only given up one touchdown to wide receivers split out wide. He’s a risky flex option this week.
