I VOTEDGovernor: Incumbent Terry Branstad (GOP) – 56.8% Branstad will be the longest serving governor in US history after winning re-election for his sixth term

Jack Hatch (Dem) – 39.8%

Senate: Joni Ernst (GOP) 51.3% – Ernst makes history by being the first female military veteran elected. This is the first time Republicans have gained control in the Senate since the Bush administration eight years ago.

Staci Appel (Dem) – 42.3%
District 4:
Steve King (GOP) – 63% wins re-election
